It kinda makes street photography sound so spiritual. But I think it's true really. I started to like people more and i realize my street captures becomes better.

The art of blending into the environment is required before you start capture them in their most unguarded moments.

Some argue digital photography has no place in the streets, cos the cameras are too big and all. But enter the D5000, quiet mode, 35mm prime 1.8 (50mm equivalent), swivel lcd. Shooting from the hip becomes child's play (ok maybe not).

Chris Weeks considers the holy grail of street photography to be the mastery of shooting from the hip as the perspective offered (like the image above) is really different from what our eyes see. It's albeit looking into the eyes of a child. =)

Visit my flickr to view my first collection of street captures. Offer a comment or 2 if you may, on my tagboard or on flickr itself (if you have a account).
